So the oversized gopher let us know that we have 6 more weeks of winter coming – and it’s been pretty mild, so let’s hope that streak continues. But because of the groundhog’s forecast we’re going to beat the winter blues away with a Winter Blues weekend – all of our blue eyeshadows are 40% off, and the rest of the shop is 25% off. This special runs until Monday, Feb 6th.

Eyeshadow of the Month Club Members:

Lots of people know that we were completely slammed over the holidays and we took January to catch up. Sadly, we weren’t able to get the January EOTM Club out, and I don’t want to throw something together and fling it out the door for the sake of “getting it done.” So we will be combining January and February EOTM Club packages – this gives me the time I need to make it extra special. We are working on putting them together, and I really, really, *really* think you’ll like this package!! So thanks for hanging in there with us – believe me, we’ll make this worth the wait!

Are you a Lusty Strumpet that missed out on Rubeneque, a tier that was discontinued last spring? When we realized it contained one of the missing ingredients we pulled it from the website. After going through the vault, we now have a few of them available over in our Quick and Dirty Discontinued Closeout. You must be a Lusty Strumpet who has claimed or is eligible for Tier 5. This means that you need to have bought 50 or more eyeshadows from Sweet Libertine. While there’s only a few left, this is the time to snag one if you weren’t able to claim it before it was discontinued or to get a backup jar!

We’re wrapping up the loose ends from the holidays and afterwards, so next week will be “cleanup” week. We want to make sure to get out the orders left over from the holidays, plus bring us back up to our 2-3 week turn around time. If you haven’t gotten your order, backorder, or other item keep an eye out for a shipment notification. The holidays crushed us, but we’ve done a good job of getting stuff back in line and we’re trucking along.

Please note, that due to supplier shortage, there are going to be more backorders than normal. I want you guys to know that we hate backorders with the heat of a thousand fiery suns, so we’re changing things a bit to make the situation a bit better. We are working to eliminate backorders entirely – they are a pain in our ass, and you want your makeup. But until we can close that gap, we will be giving you the choice of one blush or one mineral veil sample – this request will be in your backorder notification email. If we don’t hear back from you we will send you a blush sample by default. Current backorders will get a free blush sample.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on lots of streamlining. And I realized, even though these are limited edition colors that we can’t reproduce ever again (with a few exceptions from recent collections) – there’s no reason for me to be holding onto these. These are gorgeous colors that need to go live out their eyeshadow lives, and they aren’t doing anything sitting in the vault. And without further ado, here is the listing for the discontinued colors.

It came to my attention that emails sent to “Sarah@sweetlibertine.com” were bouncing due to “exceeded quota”. Last month we moved to a new website host, and unbeknownst to me they put a limit on the bandwidth for each email account. That has been tweaked, and we should be good to go!

I’m changing the End of Year Sale up a bit. For several reasons (holiday burnout, December kicked our ass, the mild weather, etc) I wasn’t able to promote the End of Year Sale as much as I would have liked. The same for the Eyeshadow of the Month Club. So I’m changing two things:

1. The End of Year Sale discount will be extended until SATURDAY, January 7th. Tonight at midnight the discount will shift from 35% to 25%. I didn’t have a chance to post swatches of the new colors so I will definitely be doing that soon.

Please note that the limited edition colors (The Christmas set and the New Year’s color) will be taken down tonight at midnight, EST.

2. If you wanted to sign up for the Eyeshadow of the Month Club but didn’t get a chance to do so in December, email me at sarah@sweetlibertine.com and I will invoice you. Let me know how many months you’d like, and what email address to send the invoice to. Invoices must be paid by January 10th. If they are not paid by the 10th then the invoice will be canceled.
