It’s March 17th! That means that the 3 month option of the Eyeshadow of the Month Club registration is open. And this time, we’re having a contest (located after the “Details” section below).
What is the Eye Shadow of the Month Club (EOTM), you ask? The EOTM club is a program where an exclusive, only-available-to-members-only eye shadow arrives on your doorstep once a month. These colors are made just for the EOTM club and will not be available to the general public! There are also special products, discount codes, and sales just for EOTM club members.
Details:
- There are 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month subscriptions. This registration is for the 3 month option. Go over here to see the dates for the 6 and 12 month options.
- Your EOTM will be shipped by the 10th of each month
- There is a special forum section for all EOTM club members
Registration will be closed on March 31st at 11:59pm.
INTERNATIONAL FOLKS: There is a surcharge for international memberships. Please chose “INTERNATIONAL” when checking out. This includes any countries outside of the United States.
Please note that discounts cannot be used on Eye Shadow of the Month Club memberships. If a discount code is used the order will be canceled and refunded.
So far this year we’ve had some great colors – we’re gearing up for next year to be even better! So click here or on the button below to chose your membership!
And now, the contest part!
We are going to give away one 3 month membership to the Eyeshadow of the Month Club. Know someone that is going through a rough time, lost their job, had a baby, or is working too hard? In the comments, please nominate one person (per comment) that you think is deserving of a 3 Month membership. It can be any reason – good, bad – but it needs to be someone you know that you think that they would both enjoy it and it would bring a little more happiness to their lives.
Fine print:
- Please comment with a valid email address where I can reach you to get the nominated winner’s details.
- Please do not nominate yourself.
- Please note that the person you nominate is the winner.
- The winner will be chosen on March 27th at 11:59pm.
- The winner will be chosen with the random number generator.
So good luck, happy nominating, and I hope to see you in the EOTM Club!
Much Love,
Sarah

I would like to nominate my friend Dee. She is working hard to finish her bachelor’s degree, and after her midterms I’m sure she could use a pick-me-up!
I nominate my friend Sam. In the past month, her apartment was flooded by her upstairs neighbor’s water heater exploding. The apartment management company made it worse by hiring incompetent maint. people who screwed with the water shut-off valve and flooded it more. Then, the people hired to assess the damage spilled a bottle of red ink on her floor, then knocked over her jewelry box, landing all of her jewelry in the puddle of ink, then LEFT it there. This is in addition to the books, clothes, and furniture she’ll have to replace. Also, they still charged her rent even though she hasn’t been able to live there. On top of all of that, her cats became ill from the mold and have had to be on expensive medications. She’s a reservist in the Navy and has had to work really hard, picking up what extra exercises she can to deal with all of this and with having had to recently buy a new car after the head gasket blew on on her old one. If anyone around here could use a free pretty shiny thing, it’s her!
Oh, and tomorrow is Sam’s birthday!
id like to nominate my aunt Yochi we just found out her husband has cancer and i know they would both luv this she deff can use a bit of color and chear…
I nominate my friend M. She is a super busy mama to S., who just turned 2, and J., her angel baby who was born still in 2008. M. is a full time student in a nursing program (which she is pursuing because she loves to help people), to which she commutes nearly 2 hours a day.
Despite much adversity and hardship, M. is one of the nicest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. When I think of her, I think of color and brightness and warmth and light, which are all things I relate to your eyeshadows. I think M. definitely deserves a pick-me-up, and a lovely package of color in the mail sounds perfect.
I would like to nominate my friend Jacqui. She has recently finished her treatment for stage 4 breast cancer, has had a double mastectomy and is soon approaching her reconstructive surgery but a small set back of tremendous back pain that needs further investigating has really dashed the process of recovery for her. I sent her a sample of your shadow and I know she would be tickled pink to win a few to cheer her up. Thank you.
My friend April and her husband have been wanting to visit Japan for years. This year they decided to learn Japanese and make their dream a reality. Alas, they were supposed to visit Japan in a little more than a week, and now that the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear plant issues, it looks unlikely that they will be able to go, and their tickets are non refundable. I know some eyeshadow won’t make up for it, but I think it would cheer her up.
I nominate my friend T. She has been a stay-at-home mama for many years & just went back to work again. It’s been hard for her to be away from her kids. Plus she has several different friends who are all going through really difficult situations and she somehow manages to be there for everyone & have words of encouragement or a shoulder to cry on or is just able to be there for her friends. She deserves something special…..plus her birthday was earlier this month! A March prize for a lovely March lady!!
I would like to nominate my friend and co-worker, Rhonda. Rhonda is in the middle of trying to end her 15 year marriage after years of emotional neglect and personal struggle. Rhonda is a true kind and loving soul. She is one of the most empathetic, accepting and intelligent women I have ever met. This month especially (trying to evict her STBX from the house SHE paid for) has turned very nasty. But I must comment that while my friend is struggling and hurting, I have seen so much personal growth from her in the past few months. She is standing up for herself, looking at hurtful and cruel comments with a logical eye, and reaching out for support in a way that is very difficult for her being a private person. We (her friends) are so proud of her. Every woman nominated deserves something special, but I would love to see a woman whose husband told her she was unattractive and ugly receive a gift that says she doesn’t need to hide her who she is anymore.
I would like to nominate my best friend Laura. Laura is a hardworking mother of 3 beautiful children. She is the most unselfish, committed and determined person I know. On christmas eve, she recieved an engagement ring and marriage proposal from her boyfriend of 5 years. They were to be married July 9th of this year. Unfortunately, after purchasing her dress and other wedding necessities, a huge, and very unexpected financial obligation fell into thier hands. They had to choose between thier wedding, or the children having to miss a great oppertunity. Although the kids assured her they wanted her to proceed with the wedding, she, as always, put the children first and chose to postpone the wedding for one year, until it would be more financially feasible. Although it broke her heart, she would, and has, made the same decision time and again. I think she very much deserves a gift for herself, especially one that will make her and her bridesmaids look stunning when her wedding day finally does arrive! (P.S. Hope theres some silver, purple and/or blue in the mix as those are her main wedding colors!)
I’d like to nominate my friend, Heather. In addition to working two jobs so she can help her mom make ends meet, Heather is highly involved in children’s education. She runs story times and crafts projects for kids from birth to high school, she helps run a youth group/church nursery programme, and she’s highly involved with Susan’s Kids, a charity that builds community schools in Lesotho.
Plus if she wins, I can borrow her make-up for a change.
I have to type quickly while the wife is in the shower…I am even using her computer so she doesn’t hear my go to the other one. My wife Mandy is the biggest sweetlibertine addict ever! she was so sad when she could not sign up for the 3 months last time and then recieve an awesome gift from a friend. It would be awesome if she could win this it is hard for us to be able to spend the money for something like this. Money has been tight since I lost my previous job, we had to cancel our trip to my sisters wedding in Jamaica for the end of this year, I know winning this can not make up for it but it would be something nice that I could do for her.
I hope you consider her for this and am very much appreciative of the time you spend doing things like these.
Thanks again
Jason
Wow, there are so many deserving people who have already been nominated! I would like to nominate my friend Jennifer. She is one of the hardest working, nicest people I know. She will go out of her way to help out anyone in need and always gives 150%, even when she is not feeling well. She has been battling multiple health issues for as long as I’ve known her, but does not let them stop her. I have given her Sweet Libertine eyeshadows as gifts and know that she would be thrilled with a three month subscription.
I’d like to nominate my BFF Kayla. She’s had a rough life–mom had cancer for 15 years before succumbing to it, father died of a sudden aneurysm, taking care of her two younger brothers–and the last few years have been financially rough. She refuses to turn away a friend in need, though. After my wasband kicked me out suddenly in 2009, she took me in on less than 24 hours’ notice, and let me stay in her home for a year and a half before she had to sell it. She’s finally, FINALLY managed to pick up a part-time job after a year of looking, and she could really use something that’s just for her. She has trouble finding eye makeup she likes (her eyes are a really unusual shade of dark blue), and I keep nudging her toward SL, but like I said, money’s been tight. I figure if she wins, she’ll finally get to succumb to the siren song.
I’d like to nominate my friend Kelly. She’s a brilliant mom of a fifteen year old and a three year old. Yes, you read that right, a teenager and a toddler. Single mom. Teenager. Toddler. In the same house. Jeez she’s had it hard -her brother died, and then shortly afterwards her mother, whom she worked through college to support, died. But he never ever looks at the (bad) dark side of things (good dark is OK – she’s wicked funny!), always makes me laugh and has been there for more than 15 years for me. I think she’s worn the same makeup for half those years, and while she has great taste and style, she just doesn’t take enough time for herself, and splurging on herself is /never/ in the picture, not to mention she lives in the boonies without access to great makeup shops. It’d be awesome if she could get this little brightness in her mailbox from SL.
I want to nominate my friend “weasel”. She’s been hospitalized recently for over a week, has no health insurance, plus her boyfriend recently lost his job so things have been very tight for the two of them. She’s been trying very hard to lose a good amount of weight and has done well so far – I’m so proud of her and think she could use a little pick-me-up from you guys.
I’d also like to nominate my friend Lacey – single mom to two great girls she’s also going to school and could just use something cool for herself!
I’d like to nominate my friend Terri – who has let me move into her home, rent free due to me being out of work. She’s got Multiple Sclerosis which is taking its toll on her health. Her father died a little over 45 days ago from a brief but brutal battle with bladder cancer and she’s now spending most of her time helping take care of her mom who has dementia and doesn’t recall her husband died recently, most days. Terri’s also putting up with a lot of undue stress from other family members who aren’t helping as much as they could be. She doesn’t wear a lot of makeup because she’s allergic to a lot of things – but she’s gotten a sample of yours from another friend – and we know she’s not allergic to yours – something pretty to make her feel appreciated would be awesome – as a note my email for all of my posts is frawgz.dezignz@gmail.com
I’d like to nominate my friend Kat. Not sure if she’s eligible though as she’s an Aussie. She’s a single mom to a teenage boy – that in and of itself is enough but with all the bad weather they’ve been having in her area and the fact she’s doing a damn good job of raising her son up to be a stand up young man is all the reason I need to nominate her. my email is frawgz.dezignz@gmail.com
I’d like to nominate a male friend if I’m allowed. Charon as he’s known is a regular in several stage productions – mostly Rocky Horror Picture Show, as well as a local haunted house in the fall. A couple years ago he had to move due to an ex-friend being an utter jerk. The friend threw out all of his belongings including his full makeup kit he’d had for years he’s trying slowly to get it all back but he’s always in need of new brightly colored eye shadows and makeup for his stage persona and think this would be a great help to him especially as he has to buy special makeup due to his sensitive skin. again my email is frawgz.dezignz@gmail.com
I’d like to nominate my friend Carrie. She’s one of my closest friends and helped me out from the first day I met her. She’s always there with a funny story to make you laugh when you’re feeling down and she’s just an all-around generous, kind person. My email is missywuzhere@hotmail.com.
I’d like to nominate my friend, Stacie. She is amazing with make-up and has taught me a ton! She also has designed make up for local theatre groups. I know she would appreciate this and love it to death, but it’s not something she could afford to do on her own.
I’d like to nominate my best friend, KC. Her grandmother went into the hospital two weeks ago and was just moved to hospice. Her extended family is slightly dysfunctional at the best of times and it’s probably not going to handle the loss of the matriarch very well. KC’s relationship with her parents is the kind that’s best at a distance but she’s been unemployed for a bit and there’s a possibility she’ll have to move home.
She could really use a pick-me-up. She loves makeup (taught me almost everything I know) and the club would definitely help cheer her up.
I would like to nominate my friend Dana. Dana’s son Carson was born prematurely right after Christmas. A couple of weeks ago he came down suddenly with breathing problems that rapidly became serious. He’s been in PedICU at the local Childrens hospital for a little over 2 weeks after a lung bypass surgery. She hasn’t been about to hold her precious baby for seventeen days and counting… She can stroke his arm, she can kiss his cheek. But she can’t pick him up or change his diaper… His two brothers can’t see him. His grandparents can’t see him. So his mom and dad sit with him each day and wait for the minute improvements and the day that Carson will be able to go home. This gift would really brighten Dana’s day!
My daughter has been working really hard, and has been really stressed out as of late. She loves your eyeshadows and I think it’d be a real treat for her to have a 3 month eyshadow of the month membership.I think your makeup would help perk her up and really make her happy!
I nominate my friend Chesney.
She has been going through a lot lately, just recently she started having trouble with her gal bladder.
I think that a little makeup to play with would be a nice surprise for her! I really want her to have it.
She’s such a good friend, and goes put of her way to cheer up others. I’d like to be able to do the same for her.
I would like to win this for my sister, Anna, who is dealing with a lot of shit. I think that your makeup would be a nice surprise, and would be a great way for her to get into prettying herself up.
I’d like to nominate my mom, who hasn’t used makeup in a looonnggg time! I’m thinking that she’d be able to get into your product, and it would give her a reason to enjoy being beautiful again. <3
I’ll nominate my aunt, who could probably benefit from the self esteem boost that some pretty makeup would give. I’d like to help her fix herself up so she can feel pretty.
I’d like to nominate my best friend Brandy. She’s a single mom raising two little red-headed angels. Money is always tight for her but she always manages to make her kids happy and provide for them but that leaves little time for her to do things for herself.
I’d like to nominate one of my best friends in the world, Gina, who lost her dad earlier this year. They have always been incredibly close, she’s a self-proclaimed ‘daddy’s girl’ and losing him has hit her hard.
She is also just an amazing person all around. She’s so many people’s ‘rock’, always ready with advice or a hug or a kind word. I know that she has helped me through so many things through the years. She loves makeup and I know that this would bring a smile to her face.
I would like to nominate my beautiful and wonderful little sister. She is currently going through a divorce, and is raising two beautiful little girls (ages 3 and almost 1) on her own with only a part time job, as her ex-husband QUIT HIS JOB and told her “try getting money out of me now.”
She’s currently looking for a place to live, which was cut short when she found out that she’s not going to be getting any monthly income from jerkus maximus, so she’s living with our stepfather, who is also one of the most amazing people in the world. I love and respect my sister so much and since she’s such a kind and beautiful woman who never gets to spend money on herself, I think she’s very deserving of this prize! Thanks so much for letting me ramble on here, I wanted to keep it semi-anonymous so I’m not putting her name in, but it’s good to share this on a public forum even if I don’t win, just so that I can share the love I have for my best friend and sister.
I’d like to nominate my friend Veronica, she’s supporting her little sister through college right now. She would love to own some beautiful eyeshadows but it’s not been something that she could do for herself. She’s one of my closest friends and she would love to play with some color!
My awesome friend Rachael would be perfect for this. She’s been helping me out with a really bad breakup and has been putting up with my whining and crying about this stupid boy for over a year. She also works hard, in a group home for developmentally disabled adults. She has the weirdest schedule ever, but she still finds time to listen to her friends with problems. In short, she is a beautiful, strong woman who deserves to show the world just how beautiful she can be.
I nominate my friend Rachel Colley, because she is a hard-working mother and awesome friend. She is always doing things for other people and deserves something for herself.
I can’t believe nobody has nominated Patience Ann(millarca) yet. I don’t know if she already has a membership or what, but I know she is definitely going through a hard time, still grieving for the death of her husband six months ago, and sweetlibertine makes her squee.
I would like to nominate my neighbour, S (name withheld for privacy but I’ve tolf Jen about her before). She got breast cancer last year. Because she was on government assistance meaning her surgeon could only charge scheduled medicare fee her butcher of a doctor left her with the temporary inflatable implants for nearly six months then threatened not to put the salene implants in when she dared to complain. They’re only supposed to be in for four to six weeks. She spent the whole time in pain and only able to sleep on her back which caused her more pain. When they finally got around to replacing them she got a severe infection that resulted in her being carted off in an ambulance. To top it all off she’s dealing with the process of getting an AVO on her now ex partner for domestic violence. He’s threatened to kill her and has sent other people around to intimidate her and us. He’s fighting the order so now she has to go to court to prove he beat her until she passed out. She loves make up. This would cheer her up immensely.
I nominate my best friend Amy M. She wasn’t into makeup really until she discovered Sweet Libertine stuff via Twitter and AFP. She loves that it’s a local business, made with natural components, and it’s fronted by a funky, environmentally conscious chick, etc… Now she’s into getting new colors and expressing herself through makeup and finding more confidence in herself. Though finances are getting better, she doesn’t splurge much on herself, so it would be awesome if she was picked for the EOTM
I would like to nominate my friend Amy who showed me Sweet Libertine in first place. Why? Because she’s a quirky gal who doesn’t quite fit the stereotype, even when she’s knitting and baking. Compared with some of the people above she hardly has any problems. I still think she deserves a pick-me-up for being such an awesome friend and teacher. And for all the make-up love she’s sharing with such totally untalented people like me.
I would like to nominate my niece for your prize, because she is hardworking and never lets her own problems get in the way of helping others. Right now she doesn’t have much money to buy herself things, but in spite of that she always helps others out. I think having some pretty makeup would bring her a great deal of joy! She especially loves your products.
I will also include my sister, because she sure could use some makeup to help her feel beautiful.
I am going to nominate my other sister, Karla, for this. I think she’d love your makeup! She has been through a lot of troubles lately and could use a pick me up.
